I missed out on the first jacket with the white sleeves. The latest Nike Kobe Destroyer jacket is all black and features the word BATTLE down the left sleeve and the roman numerals XXIV on the back. I wish I could add this to my Kobe collection but the $475 price tag pretty high.

Fight night at The Montalban presented by Nike Sportswear was a great event. Food, drinks, Pacquiao gear, and the fight on a huge HD screen! It was cool hanging out with some true Manny Pacquiao fans and sneaker heads. The crowd was about 50/50 Pacquiao/Marquez which made the fight atmosphere interesting. When word got out about the unveiling of the Nike Air Mag taking place here in Los Angeles, I had to go. It was a crazy night but well worth it. We waited for hours and was really close to not making it in. I had to pull the "I'm part of the media" card out. Luckily we all got it.

Nike really knows how to throw an event! They went all out with the Cafe 80's and Back to the Future movie props scattered all around Nike Montalban in Hollywood. A replica Delorean was parked in the front too. They had free food and drinks. The show was hosted by Joel McHale of The Soup. There was a live DJ and even an appearance of "Doc" himself Christopher Lloyd. The Designer of the 2011 Nike Mag Tinker Hatfield was there to talk about how the concept shoe become reality.

At the end there was a live auction for one pair of the 2011 Nike Mag complete with plutonium box, shirt, pin and personally signed by Michael J. Fox. It went for $37,000!

The Euro release of the Zoom Kobe VI Barcelona Pack was certainly an adventure to complete. It was only available in Europe but the limited numbers for each home and away made the prices sky high. I finally got the away Barcelonas to end my ZK6 collection. The away Barcelonas or Mangos are brighter then the Blake Griffin Hyperdunk 2011, if you can image that.

I was very fortunate to attend the "Pacquiao for the People" event at Nike Vault in Los Angeles. They transformed the Vault into a Pacquiao showcase with memorabilia and gear all over the place. Like with past Pacquiao fights Nike is releasing more Manny gear and shoes. This time it's the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max MP+ which was raffled off to because of such low quantity. There was an EA Sports Fight Night tournament, free food and drinks and a DJ to entertain the crowd. The night ended with a Q&A with the man himself Manny Pacquiao. It was even better hanging out with friends talking kicks. Enjoy the pictures!

Even tough there is no Manny Pacquiao logo on the shoe it is considered a Pacquiao sneaker because of his endorsement of the EA Sports Fight Night game. The limited release of around 360 pairs has made these very difficult to get as the May 7th fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosely draws near.

The 2011 NBA All Star weekend in Los Angeles exceeded my expectations. It was definitely a sneakerhead's dream with all the releases and events going on. Not only was the NBA Jam Session taking place, but Nike and Footlocker had numerous events all across Los Angeles which made it impossible to attend them all. Player appearances and limited shoe releases were at the top of the list for most.
